Over 250 years of combined experience, brought together to develop people, professions and partnerships worldwide.

We have an exceptional team of tutors, many of whom have taught for us for over 15 years. Our tutors are passionate about the subjects they teach. They are highly skilled professionals who have a flair for explaining complex concepts in a digestible way.

All our tutors have significant industry experience, many at Board level, meaning that they bring real-life experience into the classroom and can provide students with genuine insight into the subjects they teach. They are specialists in their field, with not only up-to-date knowledge of the latest technical developments but also an in-depth understanding of the industry and the challenges facing professionals both now and in the future.

Ian Bond

Ian is a TEP, specialising in private client work including wills and wealth planning; the creation and administration of trusts and estates; and the preparation of lasting powers of attorney and other Court of Protection work. 

Iris Wuenschmann-Lyall

Iris is a solicitor with extensive private client experience in trusts and estates. She advises on all trust and estate tax and capital tax matters, whether onshore or offshore, from the simple to the highly complex with a particular emphasis on assisting high net-worth individuals.

Jenny Wilson-Smith

Jenny Wilson-Smith TEP is an associate solicitor at leading private client firm Boodle Hatfield LLP.

John Harper

John Harper is a qualified chartered accountant and chartered secretary. During his career, he has worked in private practice in Jersey, as the Finance Director for large commercial groups and as the Managing Director of trust companies in the Channel Islands, Bermuda and Mauritius.

Julie Bell

Julie is a solicitor specialising in private client work. She is Head of Private Client at BBS Law in Manchester, advising on all areas of private client with particular emphasis on trusts and assisting high net-worth individuals.

Ken McCracken

Ken McCracken is a leading family business consultant and teacher, with extensive experience in succession planning and implementation for family businesses and family offices, effective governance for family enterprises, and educating multigenerational family businesses. 

Laura McDowall

Laura is a partner in the private client division of Blackadders LLP. She started at Blackadders as a trainee solicitor in 2006 and was assumed as a partner in 2013.

Lee Byrne

Lee has with a wealth of compliance, financial crime and AML/CFT knowledge, practical skills and experience and has served for more than 27 years financial services covering front office and back office controls across a diverse range of financial service activities including retail and commercial banking, private banking, trade finance, on-line banking and credit card products and treasury operations.

Leigh Sagar

Leigh Sagar is a barrister of England and Wales whose practice includes trusts and estates; commercial advice and litigation; the administration of digital information, created and used by deceased persons and persons who lack capacity in relation to their property and affairs and related litigation; and the administration and taxation of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and tokens and related litigation.

Leon Pickering

Leon is a barrister at Ten Old Square in London. His practice has a particular focus on onshore and offshore trust and traditional chancery disputes, and the Court of Protection. Leon also advises on capital tax and succession planning.

Mark Vickers

Mark trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte Haskins & Sells. After qualifying, Mark became a lecturer at Caer Rhun Hall, North Wales, specialising in financial accounting, taxation, executorship and trust accounting.

Matthew Moore

Matthew is one of the best known law firm compliance advisers and is a director of Infolegal Ltd – a specialist law firm risk and compliance management consultancy. Matthew has over 30 years’ experience of law firm risk and compliance consultancy.
