Introduced in 2015, the STEP Diploma in Advising Vulnerable Clients is a specialist qualification that enhances your knowledge of trust and estate administration as well as your ability to advise elderly and vulnerable clients.
The course comprises four Advanced Certificates:
- Advanced Certificate in Administration of Estates
- Advanced Certificate in Administration of Trusts
- Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients (Part One)
- Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients (Part Two)
The Advanced Certificates in the Administration of Estates and Administration of Trusts each take five months to complete, and are delivered through our online learning platform and two face-to-face workshops. Each Advanced Certificate is assessed via a three-hour, closed-book examination and we recommend that you spend 4-6 hours per week on private study for the five months prior to the examination. Further information on these Advanced Certificates can be found here.
The STEP Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients is a two-part course; Part One will take one month to complete and Part Two will take three months to complete. The course is delivered through our online learning platform and a three-day, face-to-face workshop (for both parts of the course).
Assessment is via a 3,500 word assignment to be completed at the end of Part Two. We recommend that you review the course materials prior to attending the three-day workshop for each part of the course. However, the majority of study will take place during and following the workshop and you should expect to spend 4-6 hours per week in preparation of the assignment. Further information on the course can be found here.
Once you successfully complete all four Advanced Certificates, you will gain the full 120 credits at Diploma Level.
