Tracey Calvert

Tracey is a legal and regulatory compliance and professional ethics expert. She is a lawyer who has practised both in private practice and in an in-house position. She has been a senior ethics adviser and then policy executive with the Law Society and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. In her last role with the regulator, she was part of the policy team which drafted the SRA Handbook which was launched in 2011. 

She now runs her own compliance consultancy business, Oakalls Consultancy Limited, providing a number of compliance and ethics services. She has written several books, is a contributor to ‘Cordery on Legal Services’, and is on the boards of the Law Society’s Legal Compliance Bulletin and the Wilmington Group’s Legal Compliance Association. She is an officer of the Professional Ethics Committee of the International Bar Association.

Tracey is a contributing author to the STEP Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering course manual and is the Course Director for ICA’s Legal Compliance course.
